NATURAL HISTORY Comprehensive underwater coverage of tropical marine life, from snails to whales. Many behaviors including camouflage, reproduction, predation, schooling fish (w & w/o divers), symbiosis, commensalism, parasitism. Intimate portraits, I.D. shots.

GENERAL STOCK Tropical travel. Topside scenery, indigenous people, snorkelers in beautiful settings. Underwater scenics with coral and fish (w & w/o divers), marine life portraits, colorful fish, natural patterns.

SPECIALTIES Underwater photography: tropical marine life incl. one of the largest collections of whale shark images. Also silvertip, nurse, and zebra sharks, rays, sea horses, octopus, cuttlefish (mating and laying eggs), nudibranchs, squid, crabs, shrimp. Rarities: bowmouth and giant guitarfish, salmon sharks, false killer whales, blue whale. Rare behaviors: adult & juvenile silvertip sharks swimming together, paper nautilus grasping jellyfish, parasitic snails feeding on parrotfish and nurse sharks. Oddities like frogfish, ghost pipefish, ocean sunfish. Complete photo/text packages.

ENVIRONMENT Threats to marine environment: coral reef damage due to blast fishing, abandoned nets, fish traps, anchors, shark finning, pollution, sale of sea turtle eggs, sea shell markets, crown-of-thorns starfish predation of corals. Also conservation efforts: marine parks & sanctuaries, moorings, divers extracting nets from coral. Endangered species like green, hawksbill and leatherback sea turtles, sea horses, sharks, whales.

GEOGRAPHIC AREAS Probably largest and best file of u/w images from Thailand. Also strong coverage of Burma (Myanmar), Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Indonesia, Galapagos.

COMMENTS: Keen underwater naturalist, constantly shooting to expand files. Based in Thailand 7 mos./yr., diving nearly every day. Countless hours underwater allow for intimate familiarity with subjects, opportunities to document unusual behavior. Remainder of each year spent travelling, mostly Indo-Pacific. Files include nearly every type of marine life found in this vast region; if we don’t have it, we can often refer you to someone who does.
